Fall Colors in Oregon

Last week, on my way into Roseburg, I stopped at a little park along the Umpqua River, a place I new I could get a good shot of the leaf colors and the river. The cliff in the background is black basalt, and though it came out a bit "greyed out", it is really quite dark against the gold leaves.
At this little county park there are picnic tables and a place to launch boats and rafts... quite a popular put-in for floating the river on hot Summer days. Not a bad place to go paint a picture in the Fall, either! This was taken from one of the day-use sites... none were occupied, but it was a weekday.

Oh it looks so nice! Especially to see that there really are still trees in the world. And green trees at that, not a dirty dusty brown trees! heehee
