I finished putting the trim onto the "hole" around the new slider. I probably shouldn't be feeling so proud of myself, but I am. I did it "all by myself" (consulting with Henry, to be sure!) But I did the measuring, cutting -mm... yeah, twice, painting, and brad-nailing myself. I suppose that I should have done the trim... after all, the silly project was supposed to be something I could do myself. THAT turned out to be pretty far from reality, now didn't it?On to the next projeect... let's see... how about swapping out the windows in the front room? We'd have a cozier house in Winter, and it would have better air circulation in the Summer. AAaaaannd - I could do that one! What? You say I'd need your help, Henry? Nah... piece o'cake! I just hafta pop out the old wooden single-pane windows and pop in the new double-glazed ones, don't I?
The saga continues... (poor Henry).
