Oh, MY!

Red Hill Road is quite remote; gravel, three miles long, and most of it through dense woods. Our driveway (that's the mailbox - mounted on a railroad tie - at about the middle of the picture) is the very last one. The other tracks go up to the BLM land where folks hunt.

When contractor Jim came over this morning to finish painting the shop, Henry showed him the plaster cast I had made of "the tracks" I found earlier in the week near the mailbox. It only took him about two seconds to say "Yep, that's a young Black Bear".

Well, GOLLL-EE! I know that bears do live in the woods, but I think I'd rather not meet one "up close, and personal".
