The Glaze Kiln is on it's last legs, and with four classes, it is over-taxed. Ted and Greg will only be firing once a week (or perhaps every other week) and the "credit" students get first crack at the space. So... guess I'll seriously have to save for a kiln of my own. That's a LOT of money to invest, but seems to be more necessary now, at least if I intend to keep doing pots - which I do!
I guess making mugs and the little yarn bowls will be OK , and the small berry dishes as well. But since I'm a "no account" student (auditor), they will be fired on a 'space available' basis. Hmmm... back to making Raku fish, I guess. That's fun, too. Ahhh.. I do love instant gratification!
Well, at least you still have this facility to do some work with clay. Enough to keep your hand in it. Any chance of co-owning a kiln?
