The structure is finished, the new door is in... and the house really looks bad! I scraped off most of the loose paint so I could prime the boards next to the door before I put on the trim. But sheese! it looks like a dump! Fortunately, I've got about a month to ge the trim on the door, the deck back on, and both coats of paint on the house... the new door is on the "weather side", so I'm kind of racing the clock here.Henry will put the cat door into the wall between the electrical outlet and the edge of the door. Next he has to re-do the electrical connection so I can put on the deck.... etc.
I have to wait untill he's done so I can go ahead with the things I have to do. About the only thing I can do for now is scrape the paint off the siding and get ready to put the primer on.
Wow! I don't see a dump here, I see progress and it's looking great! Nice to have the cat door, too. Happy sawing and hammering!
