Movin' On Up...

Here comes Erin! She's moved out of her apartment in Fremont, Cal (after getting pink-slipped, along with seven other teachers at Glenmore School) and has moved up to Oregon for the Summer. On August 19th she'll head for Frankfurt, and then on to Kuwait City for the next two years. She'll be teaching First Grade, and possibly helping to coach High School swimming or Volleyball.

Erin's two kitties will join our household - they have been here almost two days and no more than a very mild hiss out of anybody... good so far. Lucciano and Parker are very mild-mannered kitties, and the two new guys have never seen other cats... except their mom. "Little" wants to go outside NOW, but E said he'd have to wait a few more days until she was sure he knew he lived HERE now. I understand; we've got lots of time.

We are having a heat wave up here! - 92 degrees for the past two days, and two more before it is supposed to break. Don't let anybody fool you, it doesn't rain constantly in Oregon... but I'm not supposed to tell anybody that, because then everybody will want to live here! It is so amazingly beautiful here, and very quiet. I really love the solitude.

I'm going to town tomorrow to get two posts so I can hang a gate between the yard and my garden... and I can water and pick veggies!
