The woods are dry this time of year, and the bright yellow-green "HIGH FIRE DANGER" signs are very much in evidence. Our corner of the world is still beautiful, but I'm not lovin' the heat at all. I'd like to have a bit of overcast and coolth. The picture is from last month when Henry had just cut the "10 Acre Field". Now all the grass is a dry gold, but I didn't have a picture of it... and it is dark, so I'm not going to get one tonight!
We looked at 4-wheelers on Saturday. I guess it is time to get one... I'm NOT riding the motorcycle to go look at the fence, and we need to do that before too long. 4-wheelers are good because you can take your stuff with you; wire, extra posts, staples, stretchers and all that it takes to fix breaks or down posts. Just keep telling me that it is harder to fix fence on horseback... and that I'm too old to be doing that without "mechanical advantage" anyway! Jim and his brother Roy are fixing their fence now, so we need to go check the part that doesn't border their property.
