The world was so beautiful all covered in the soft white blanket! Henry and I walked down to the mailbox, even though it is Sunday, because we liked the crunchy sound of the snow under our boots. A total of almost three inches fell, with almost two inches falling in the half-hour between 9:00AM and 9:30AM. FUN !! The dogs loved the snow, too! Cats... not so much.
Why is it that dogs get so "bouncy" in the snow? Both dogs such a good time chasing snowballs that we threw, even though they couldn't pick them up. The snowballs melted as soon as the warm doggie mouths hit them! The boys would look up with such excited expectation that another snowball was coming, then go leaping over the funny white stuff to "catch and kill" the elusive varment! All this snowball-throwing and leaping about lasted for about half an hour.There were some tired, happy dogs at the end of the game.
