Nothing here right now, but this Winter Henry will have a garage/shop right here!
He is so happy to finally get a warm, dry shop where he can work in the Winter... and I'm happy because there may be 220 for my kiln! YYAAAYYY! I'll have a spot for storage and a washer and dryer, so making room for a nice big electric kiln is a definite possibility.
A group of folks had a "pit firing" at Ted's in Myrtle Creek yesterday, I had planned to go... but getting the site work for the garage started was first priority, so I stayed home and took down the fence from the old garden - the turn-around goes there (that's one of the reasons I had to move my garden). We made pots and wrapped them in "stuff" and newspaper (so Ted's car wouldn't get too dirty transporting them). I made a small bowl and sent it down with the others, I'll show you when it comes back from the party. Hmmm, my pots party, but I stay home... that's pathetic.
I have two pieces in the student show at UCC this month. It is an annual thing, and Ted said he needed a pot from everybody in order to have a representative cross-section. There wasn't enough response, so he asked some of us to put in two pots.
