Soup Is Ready...



Made the infamous After Thanksgiving Turkey Soup yesterday. Long standing tradition... using the whole bird. Gunnie used to say she used "everything but the squeal" about using up all the potential food.

Unfortunately, Henry doesn't like home made soup, so I usually freeze some and give some away. This year I used my "Brand-New-Super-Duper-PRESSURE CANNER" to put up the soup. That way I don't have to use freezer space, and the jars are more portable for taking to friends.

These pints just came out of the canner, I'm a little surprised that no steam from the jars appears in the photo! The one in the middle looked like it didn't seal very well (Uh huh, as if I needed and excuse), I bet you can guess what was for lunch! I didn't even have to heat it up... Yummy.
