Well, actually, not so much. The grass is about 14" high, and it just keeps growing. Henry has threatened to use the Brush Hog on it if I don't get it away from the house... So that's my charge! Get rid of that fire hazzard!
I was a High School Librarian for ten years in Northern California, and a classroom teacher for seventeen years before that. When I retired, I moved to a small timber farm outside Roseburg, Oregon, with my husband, three dogs, and of course... the cats.
The blog "Wanderer" relates a bit of our life in the woods (PNW name for the forest) for our friends and family, and "Pigs Might Fly" details my quilting. Now that I've been retired for two years, I am actually finishing some quilts! I've added "Red Hill Mud", "Sticks and Strings" and a blog for Pastels. All those are additional crafty loves and deserving of their own spaces.
I split my creative time between
quilting, making pottery, knitting, cooking, pastel landscapes, and gardening.
I do love to travel and our daughter, who teaches Elementary School overseas - family business, I guess - tells me that I need to make a tee shirt with the legend "Will Work for Airline Tickets" on the front. She's probably right, I will do almost anything for a ticket to almost anywhere - within the limits of propriety, of course.
Let him have at it, it's too long to mow now anyway.
