Well, it isn't to Grandmother's house, but it is far away. We are driving up to Oregon to visit family over the school term break. Maybe it will be snowy over the passes! YYAAY! That is just so pretty... I love the Douglas Firs with snow! Very like a Christmas Card, only real. One year it was so snowy over Mt. Ashland we had to come back down the Coast... only took us two hours longer, though. Is that bad? Meh? The kitties weren't too happy - when we got home to them they were sulky and just wanted dinner. Dogs were with us in the van, so they didn't care - they loved racing around in the snow at the dog stops. My dogs really are just fur-suited kids sometimes... so very cheery and full of play!
There is a week and a half to go, so I'm finishing the binding on a special quilt, bottling up the Coffee-Brandy, and baking Chocolate Biscotti to take along. I'll wait until I get to the farm to bake the Mince Tarts and we'll do a turkey on Monday night so we can have "leftovers"... all we want! At Chrismas we'll have our Roast Beef dinner at Nora's, and I'll bring some pies and the Eggnog.
